When I speak to an audience I draw on the more than twenty years of learning and living it took for me to find and live my purpose in life. I share the strategies and internal resources I used to go from thinking about my purpose to actually living it. And I do it in a way that’s relatable and memorable. Because people need to know that you’ve been where they are and that you can help them get to where they want to go.
A Short Bio
In September of 2002 I flew an airplane for the first time and my whole life changed in an instant. As I pursued my passion for flying, gaining two licenses and two ratings in the process, my expectations of what I was capable of soared. In May of 2010 I had a stable job that paid well, but I was miserable. I wanted to use what I’d learned over the years to help people find and live their purpose. So a month later I put my house on the market in one of the worst housing markets in recent history and it sold in less than a month. Six weeks later I left my job to live my purpose.
What drives me to help people find their purpose are my memories of the gut-wrenching days and nights I spent living with the choices and circumstances of my journey, and the healing and transformation that occurred as I took control of my life story. To this day, nothing inspires me more than being in the presence of someone who is considering their purpose for the first time.
My Speaking Style
I’m a born extrovert with a passion for inspiring people at all levels of their journey. My presentations are conversational, with a mix of humor and road-tested advice to help people find their purpose and use it to make a difference in the world.
Winning the War With Your Self – This presentation is based on my book, “Winning the War With Your Self.” In it, I describe the internal war that prevents most of us from pursuing our purpose. And I reveal the secret to winning the war and living our happiest and most fulfilling lives.
The PIGG Principle – The surest path I know to finding and living your purpose is with Passion, Intention, Gratitude and Grace. In this speech I discuss each of the four energies in depth and talk about why they are essential for anyone who is ready to find and live their reason for living.
Stop Living the First Draft of Your Life – Forty months of writing and reliving the occasionally painful and ultimately successful story of the twenty-year search for my purpose is the basis for this presentation. In it, I discuss how changing our old narrative is the catalyst for creating a new life.
Living the Ten Acronyms of a Purpose-Filled Life – I’ve loved acronyms ever since I was 10, when my mom used one to convince me that I was actually lucky to have the last name, Pigg. These ten acronyms have been responsible for my most important breakthroughs in life. And they are a simple and powerful guide for anyone who is ready to take control of their destiny.
I can also work with you to develop a presentation that is designed to meet the specific needs of your organization.
